Hi! I’m Molly.
Writer, content strategist, snack enthusiast.
Eager to tell your story.
Let me let you in on a secret. I’ve been “in” marketing for the better part of a decade, but I don’t consider myself a “marketer.” Rather, I’m a writer.
My love for writing has introduced me to brilliant marketing teams and campaigns over the course of my career. I’ve had the privilege of working with and writing for companies across diverse and fascinating industries, from media to education to venture capital to tech. Regardless of sector, I’ve drawn upon my dual talents for writing and strategy to bring brands’ stories to life.
My own story, in a nutshell: I grew up in the Greater Boston area with a love for stories and literature. Unsurprisingly, I studied English in college at Harvard. I spent summers writing and editing for Let’s Go travel guides, interning in the communications department at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and in the media department at MullenLowe.
I dove headfirst into professional writing shortly after graduating by securing my first side hustle: a role as columnist and associate editor for The Muse. In the decade since, I’ve led content and communications efforts at companies of various shapes and sizes: as Director of Marketing & Communications at Carney, Sandoe & Associates, a leading educational recruitment firm; as Chief Communications Officer at venture capital firm Romulus Capital; and as Global Head of Content at Lionbridge, the world’s second-largest translation and localization company.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve written countless blog posts and hundreds of pages of marketing materials, whitepapers, eBooks, and reports. I’ve written for varied audiences — from hopeful teaching candidates to CTOs to multi-million-dollar investors. I’ve spearheaded multiple website refreshes and overhauls and have written their corresponding copydecks. I’ve devised actionable strategies to keep companies’ content engines churning. I’ve started two communications and marketing departments from scratch, and I’ve been an integral part of an integrated marketing team at an organization of 6,000+ employees.
To my clients, I bring a knack for distilling complicated subjects into clear, understandable language. I bring a fluidity of voice, which can address casual readers or highly sophisticated investors with equal ease. I bring experience devising and executing ambitious content and communications plans that strive to build brand affinity, not just brand awareness. Mostly, I bring a passion for the creative challenge of bringing a brand’s story to life through writing.
If you need content generation or communications consulting services, I’d love to chat with you. Reach out to email@example.com — I look forward to telling your story.
